OPTION 1: FULL  DAY INTRODUCTION TO FLYFISHING FOR TROUT

This is a fantastic experience and the perfect way to learn the art of  flyfishing on the mighty, stunning Rutland Water. see our testimonials  :  Itinerary for your day:-

Meet at 10.00am at our Lakeside Fishing Lodge (see map) for a short introductory chat and a cup of coffee, then into the Fishermen's Cabin for the morning session:-

EXCLUSIVE ONE TO ONE:-  Complete tuition based in our Lakeside Fisherman's Cabin for: interesting, informative and fun coaching in all you need to know to start fly fishing:- Tackle/Flies/Entomology, what, when, where & how/Rutland Water, how to 'read' the lake, the places to fish throughout the year/and most importantly learning to cast a fly. Then, after a lovely lunch overlooking the lake, we go aboard a motor boat and put it all into practice and fly fish for trout on Rutland Water.  Top quality tackle is supplied SONIK/Orvis/Sage/Hardy etc. Then around 5.00pm it's back to the Lodge to reflect on the day's fishing, maybe to recount your own 'fisherman's tale' or to tell of 'the one that got away'!!        Hopefully you'll catch a trout or two and if so, we can clean them up and package them so you can take them home to eat. (we'll do our best, but, you never know...that's fishing!).

OPTION 2: FISHING ADVENTURE: Perhaps you just want a few hours fishing. Get out on a boat with an expert fishermen who can give you all the gear; put you on the fish; tell you what to do and, hopefully, you'll catch a trout. No experience needed, if you just want to to try fishing without the instruction and all the background info, this is for you.   Meet by the life jacket stand at the Anglian Water fishing Lodge, and go fishing with one of our expert team. have fun and try & catch a trout! £99 pp. minimum 2 people.

option 3. HALF DAY INTRODUCTION TO FLYFISHING FOR TROUT

As the full day but 4 hours duration. We cover the same tuition points but spend a couple of hours fishing from the bankside. Snacks are provided but no lunch. Please note the best times to fish from the bank on Rutland Water are April/May/Early June/November.

OPTION 5: GUIDING For more experienced anglers, we offer EXPERT GUIDING with members of our top team of famous names: full day: £225 INCLUDING full permit &  all day Boat. A perfect way to get to know this huge Water. Take years off the 'learning curve' in getting to know this huge water . Use your own or borrow our quality tackle.

OPTION 6: TUITION As a fully qualified and licensed flyfishing coach in both trout and salmon casting, I offer 1:1 casting coaching ie: overhead/roll/double hauling/single spey/double spey/snapT/snake roll. £40.00 PER HOUR including permit so you may carry on fishing after the session.

OPTION 8: Family coarse fishing experience, perfect for parent and youngsters under 14. Many families want to share a fishing experience with their small children, and a session on Rutland Water may not be appropriate. The most important thing here is for the youngsters to catch a fish. I now offer an afternoon or evening Summer fishing for carp/roach/bream on a nearby coarse fishing pond. This is not flyfishing, we'll be using a float and bait but it'll give you and your family lovely time catching small (and some not so small fish).   Summer only: Parent and child specials: £50 per hour + £10 per any extra child.

ACCOMMODATION: Accommodation individuals or small groups is available in our own 4 star Lakeside Lodge all ensuite, right on the lakeside. Prices from £70 for a twin room per night inc breakfasts to £85 for 1 night in 4 poster double ensuite overlooking the lake. Discounts available for longer stays.
