Half days work best in the early months, April, May early June when the trout are nearer to the bankside. Full days work well all year, as you will be fishing from a boat.

| Full day Includes:-
Meet at Rob's Lakeside Lodge at 10am. Move into his lakeside fishing cabin where you'll learn all you need to know to take up this exciting, active branch of angling; The tackle, what to use & how to use it; Flies- explode the myths, get a simple, clear understanding of what fly, when, why & how; Rutland Water, how to read it, where to fish and why. Then, you go out onto grass and learn to cast with a fly rod, after a recap in the cabin, you'll be served a lovely lunch overlooking the lake. After lunch, we'll go to the South Shore and board a motorboat and you'll put all the coaching into practise: Fly Fishing for Trout on Rutland Water, one of the world's finest trout lakes till 5pm. A true Adventure! |
Half day includes:- As the full day, but after the morning learning experience, we'll go straight out and fly fish from the bankside till 2pm. We will travel to a suitable part of the lake to give us the best chance of catching a fish. This bankfishing option works best in April/May/ early June / late September /October/November when the fish are nearer the banks. Everything's provided, all inclusive. Note: Boats will not go out in high winds of over 23 miles per hour, in these circumstances we will rearrange a suitable alternative date. |
