England has some of the most famous fly fishing locations in the world, from the classic chalk streams such as the rivers Test, Itchen, Kennet and Wylye in Hampshire, Berkshire and Wiltshire to the superb limestone rivers Wharfe, Aire and Ure in the Yorkshire Dales.  These are all primarily brown trout rivers but all also hold excellent stocks of grayling.  The fly fishing on these rivers is at its best in the April to November season but the River Test in Hampshire provides excellent fly fishing for grayling right through the winter months up to 14^th March.
